Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Fans' Second Season Bingo Cards — With Some Good News

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on Prime Video this week, and fan speculation has been widespread.

The first season introduces a large cast of personalities residing in the afterlife, sets them at odds accompanied by musical numbers about their clashes, and builds tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that drive audience devotion.

The community's expectations for the new season differ greatly, but certain themes recur frequently: Could Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the binding agreement constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with fan service specifically in mind," the creator stated earlier this year. "But I feel like me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator says her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That could imply fans have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how fast season 2 progresses, and how much of what they're waiting for happens now.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some really amazing reveals, some fascinating backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about season 2 — particularly in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a couple people create a prediction grid about season 2," she mentions. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've already completed a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
