I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly happening.
